The Role

Are you passionate about helping employees thrive through challenging times and ensuring their successful return to work? Melbourne Water, a Self-Insurer committed to the wellbeing of its employees, is seeking a compassionate rehabilitation and case management manager to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting injured employees, managing their cases with care, driving excellence in rehabilitation and return-to-work strategies, and overseeing our self-insurance obligations.

. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing compliance and reporting for the Self-Insurance license, including managing audits such as SISAP and EDT returns.
  • Providing compassionate support and guidance to employees throughout their rehabilitation process, ensuring their wellbeing and successful return to work.
  • Managing injury cases with empathy and care, encompassing both work-related and non-work-related incidents, and facilitating seamless return-to-work processes.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement effective Rehabilitation and Return to Work strategies tailored to individual employee needs.
  • Identifying opportunities for early intervention and proactive support to prevent injuries and promote employee wellbeing.
  • Continuously evaluating and improving our Rehabilitation and Return to Work programs to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our workforce.

Your Skills and Experience

  • WorkCover experience with an understanding of the Self-Insurance Scheme
  • Demonstrated experience in Rehabilitation and Return to Work processes, with a strong focus on employee support and success.
  • Empathetic and compassionate approach to case management, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in employee wellbeing initiatives.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to complete a Criminal Records Check.

Salary level: Hay Grade 16
