About the Role

Reporting to the Job Plan Lead, these roles will be a pivotal role within the Service Delivery Portfolio. As the Job Plan Developer, you will be responsible for: the implementation of accurate, efficient and effective Job Plans associated with Melbourne Waters built and natural assets.

  • Reviewing and providing effective works packages to enhance Melbourne Waters ability to deliver safe, effective and efficient outcomes within the maintenance works program.   
  • Improving the quality and completeness of ‘Preventative Maintenance’ cost estimates, scope detail and supporting data for new and existing job plans.   
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of a standardised estimation and data convention across the works program.
  • Supporting and help deliver strategic business improvements through improved data and the implementation of consistent business process.   
  • Conducting review of our OPEX program (Asset Maintenance) and providing effective works packages through technical skills and knowledge relevant to specific job complexities.
  • Valid Driver’s Licence as this role requires occasional travel.
  • Help to foster a culture of Health, Safety & Wellbeing.
  • The successful applicant will be deemed a SOCI critical worker.

About you:

  • You have knowledge of management practices and delivery methodologies in one or more of the following asset types:
    • Electrical & Mechanical 
    • Civil 
    • Natural Resource & Vegetation.
  • Strong Maintenance Delivery Background with experience in estimate and scope development, and risk identification and mitigation processes. 
  • You are performance driven with the ability to analyse and problem solve.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable collaboration and influence.

There are two full time roles which are primarily based from Brooklyn Pumping Station or Eastern Treatment Plant in Bangholme. You will be required on occasions to travel to other Melbourne Water locations and will have access to an operational Pool vehicle.

The Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) Act 2018 requires Melbourne Water, as an operator of critical infrastructure, to prepare a Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (CIRMP), which has been undertaken and managed by the Security and Emergency Management Team.

Melbourne Water are required to assess roles across Melbourne Water to determine what roles are critical under the Act. All employees working in a role deemed SOCI critical will require additional background checks via AusCheck.  These roles is deemed critical and the preferred applicant will be asked to undertake an AusCheck.
