About The Opportunity

Programmed Facility Management are seeking an experienced FIFO Casual Aerodrome Reporting Officers (ARO) to join our Village Management Team to provide relief coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides soft services such as Village Management, Catering, Transport, Cleaning and Utility services to a well-known Mining Company situated in the Mid-West, WA.

Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security compliance of the Aerodrome (and management of its operations), in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures. Through the daily inspecting, reporting, and monitoring of airside environment, you will be part of a team dedicated to the safety and security of travelers in accordance with relevant regulations and standard operating procedures. Ad hoc support to the Village Team is occasionally required.

Duties include:

  • Undertaking required duties as stipulated within the CASA regulations
  • Identify and record hazards and issuing Notices to Airmen (NOTAM's) in accordance with airport regulations
  • Implement the requirements of the Wildlife Hazard Management Plans; monitor and report on wildlife activity on aerodrome and conduct bird dispersal on using approved methods
  • Aerodrome Operations including monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic on the airport tarmac areas, assistance with terminal security during embarkation / disembarkation of Aircraft, and airside safety, conducting inspections, preparation of accurate logs/reports 
  • Monitor and undertake serviceability requirements, routine grounds and infrastructure maintenance of airport infrastructure
  • Assist in the implementation of Aerodrome Emergency Procedures, with a commitment to learn and apply emergency response procedures both airside and landside
  • Perform any emergency duties associated with the safety of staff and visitors, and the cleanliness of the airport area as required
  • Village Waste Management, Grounds / Utility Cleaning
  • Assist other departments from time to time, if required

 

About You

To join our team, you will be an experienced Aerodrome Reporting Officer with a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others, and a passion to provide quality work and service with a smile, at all times:

You will possess:

  • Australian Working Rights
  • VALID Aerodrome Reporting Officer Skill Set certification, including Aeronautical Radio Operator (AROC), Dangerous Goods (DG) and Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) training
  • VALID C Class HR License (HR advantageous)
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
  • Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
  • Previous experience at a Village preferred
  • The following qualifications with Camp Facilities such as First Aid and HRWL (LF), (desirable)

Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:

  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather environments
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of aerodrome operations and procedures.
  • Advanced Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Systems, Payroll & Training requirements
  • Ability to work autonomously and be a self-motivator
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • A sound ability in problem solving and decision making
  • Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
  • Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
