About The Opportunity   

We are seeking a Social Inclusion Manager to partner with our social housing client, local communities and government/non-government agencies to deliver educational and employment pathways, creating opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds as a part of a large-scale social housing contract. This permanent, full time role based in Parramatta NSW, plays a crucial part in cultivating our diverse and inclusive culture and contributing to important services for the community.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Implementing programs aligned with the Social Inclusion Strategy.
  • Developing and managing all programs outlined in the SOMP.
  • Building and maintaining knowledge on social inclusion initiatives and fostering relationships with key partners and community groups.
  • Coaching and developing management teams in applying social inclusion initiatives and tools.
  • Driving initiatives to support Programmed’s First Nations Engagement strategy.
  • Championing social inclusion initiatives across the Contract.
  • Creating materials for key diversity days and promoting diversity, social inclusion, and mental health initiatives.
  • Collaborating with customers and clients to develop and implement social inclusion plans or projects.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have social work experience, ideally in social or community housing. You will have a knack for people engagement and a ‘can-do’ attitude and strong community connections.

 Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Experience in Social Welfare or similar social work or equivalent experience.
  • Highly developed communication and robust stakeholder engagement ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain networks and partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation and business development skills.
  • Demonstrated ability make evidence-based decisions in line with policy, legislation and delegations.
