About The Opportunity

Programmed’s Electrical Technologies department are currently seeking a Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement team based at our Collins St office. You will be joining an established team that are responsible for the processing purchase orders for our entire PET business. This is a 12 month parental leave cover with the potential to extend.

Key Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and checking for accuracy
• Working with the Accounts team on variations
• Liaising with the operations, vendor management and accounts teams
• Contribute to regular reporting and deliver data management to the business
• Look for ways to create process efficiencies
• Support the team in ensuring vendor details are correct and up to date

About you

This role is a perfect opportunity for someone with administration, accounts or purchasing experience to grow their career at a dynamic, national organisation. Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organisation and time management skills
• Experience processing purchase orders
• Intermediate Excel skills  
• Cert III in Business Administration, desired but not required
