About The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity now exists for a Project Supervisor to join Programmed, working on our high-profile Melbourne Water Contract at Winneke Water Treatment Plant in Christmas Hills.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing project planning and coordination, emphasizing safety protocol implementation, and maintaining close collaboration with safety advisors throughout project phases. With a preference for a trades background, responsibilities include risk assessment and mitigation, documentation management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key duties also involve conducting inspections, audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Effective client communication and familiarity with Melbourne Water LOTO procedure are crucial aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Provide input to project engineer for planning and coordination.
    • Develop project plans and schedules.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders.
  2. Safety Protocol Implementation and Close Liaison with Safety Advisor:
    • Enforce safety procedures on-site.
    • Maintain close liaison with safety advisor throughout project phases.
    • Conduct safety meetings.
  3. Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
    • Identify and mitigate safety hazards.
    • Document incidents and near-misses.
  4. Documentation Management:
    • Maintain safety documentation.
    • Prepare reports and inspections.
  5. Trades Background Preferred:
    • Previous experience in trades beneficial.
    • Understanding of construction processes, preferably in water&sewer space.
  6. Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure construction quality.
    • Implement control measures.
  7. Client Communication:
    • Provide project updates.
    • Address client concerns.
  8. Regulatory Compliance and Familiarity with Melbourne Water LOTO Procedure:
    • Ensure compliance with regulations, including familiarity with Melbourne Water LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedure.
    • Maintain permits and documentation.
  9. Inspections, Audits, and Continuous Improvement:
    • Conduct site inspections and audits to identify safety hazards and areas for improvement.
    • Review safety metrics to assess performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

 

About You

  • Trade Experience preferable (Sewer&Water)
  • Proactive approach to resolving issues and excellent attention to detail
  • An excellent communicator with good written and verbal skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement experience
