About The Opportunity

Programmed Property Services is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join our highly performing Commercial Painting team based in Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast. This is a full-time role focused on driving business growth through the acquisition of new clients while nurturing and expanding relationships with our existing customer base.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across a diverse range of industries within your territory. You’ll engage with key decision-makers, present tailored commercial solutions, and drive the sale of high-value, long-term service contracts.

This role involves developing persuasive proposals and navigating complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders. Your ability to build strong commercial relationships and deliver strategic, customer-focused outcomes will be critical to your success. Experience in similar solution-based sales environments with long sales cycles will be highly advantageous.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the business throughout the Gold Coast region.
  • Nurture and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research.
  • Utilize your sound sales history, particularly in trades and services, to effectively communicate the value of our products and services to potential customers.
  • Prepare accurate sales estimates and develop professional proposals that showcase our offerings.
  • Leverage your previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to effectively manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate records.

 

 About you

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have a proven track record in sales for the trades/services industry, a “can do’ attitude and be driven to deliver exceptional results.  Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Previous experience in a sales driven role.
  • Comfortable actively seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Strong ability to estimate and develop professional-looking proposals.
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated region.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
