About the Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and experienced HVAC Technician to join our dedicated maintenance team in Karratha, WA. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile contract supporting a major Oil & Gas client, delivering essential HVAC services across 600–700 residential properties that support a world-class integrated gas production facility.

This permanent, full-time role operates on a 14 days on / 7 days off roster, with 11 hour shifts from 7:00am to 5:30pm. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic, highly regulated environment where safety, compliance, and quality are paramount. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the comfort, reliability, and operational efficiency of critical infrastructure in one of Western Australia’s most important energy hubs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems across residential and facility buildings.
  • Install, maintain, and repair ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
  • Conduct emergency repairs and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintain accurate service records and daily maintenance logs.
  • Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards and OH&S regulations.
  • Support broader maintenance operations and collaborate with other trades as needed.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and uphold site protocols at all times.

 

About You

You are a trade-qualified HVAC Technician with a strong service mindset and a commitment to safety and quality. You take pride in your work, enjoy solving problems, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.  

Additionally, you will have:

  • Valid C Class Licence (mandatory)
  • Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (mandatory)
  • Refrigerant Handling Licence (RAC01) (mandatory)
  • Construction White Card (mandatory)
  • Experience in residential or commercial HVAC maintenance.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.

Desirable qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology
  • WA Electrical License
  • LVR and CPR Certificates
  • Working at Heights
