About The Opportunity

Programmed Electrical Technologies department currently has a great opportunity due to an expanding workload for a hands-on Service Electrician to join our team in Beard. Working on predominantly government and defense sites, you will be responsible for general electrical and communications services across various sites including fit-out installation work, fault finding, switchboard servicing, light & power installations and upgrades. Due to the nature of the projects, having communications endorsements would also be highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Communications rack set up and installations.
• Installation, termination, and fit-off of electrical infrastructure and apparatus
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades to enhance performance.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their electrical and communication cabling needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities accurately and comprehensively.

About You

To join our team, you will be a qualified electrician with sound knowledge of electrical and communications standards within a commercial environment, a passion for providing quality work, and a strong commitment to your own safety and that of others. Additionally, you will have;

• Certificate ||| in telecommunications with structured cable endorsements is desirable
• Experience in commercial and industrial works
• NV1 or NV2 clearance is desirable
• Current driver's license
• Demonstrate a professional approach to the workplace
• Execute work that is of a high standard
• A strong commitment to and understanding of quality, environmental, occupational health and safety management systems.
