About The Opportunity
Programmed Facility Management are seeking PERMANENT Kitchen Utility staff to join our Minesite Village Management Team. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of an essential team that provides soft services such as Village Management, Catering, Transport, Cleaning and Utility services to a well-known Mining Company situated in the Mid-West, WA.
Key Responsibilities
This position is responsible for maintaining a high standard of daily food and menu preparation, cooking and dining room service for the Residents of the Village. You will maintain Ad hoc support to the Village Team is occasionally required.
Duties include:
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety practices, in line with HACCP guidelines, procedures and documentation
- Assistance with the provision of high-quality, nutritious, and well-presented meals including bulk food preparation, labelling etc.
- Ensure the main facility is presented tidy and organized at all time
- Ensure all designated work areas are held to a high standard of cleanliness; ensure all kitchenware is washed and stored and rubbish is removed to standard
- Maintenance of the kitchen premises and food production equipment
- Notify the Supervisor of any maintenance required within the facility
- Assistance with stock control including quality reporting and temperature monitoring
- Use and store chemicals appropriately, maintain adequate supplies of cleaning materials
- Assist other departments from time to time, if required
About You
To join our team, you will be an experienced Kitchen Utility with demonstrated experience in mass catering environments. You will possess knowledge of Hygiene and Food Safety Standards, with cultural dietary requirements being an advantage. Additionally, a commitment to the safety of yourself and others, and a passion to provide quality product, and service with a smile, at all times.
You will possess:
- VALID C Class License
- Australian Working Rights
- Ability to pass comprehensive (Client) Pre-Employment Medical including Instant Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Current satisfactory National Police Check (within 6 months)
- Food Safety or Handler Certification
- Previous experience at a Minesite Village experience
- Ability to endure remote environments in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to multi-task and assist across areas with a positive teamwork approach
- The following experience / qualifications with First Aid and RSA (desirable)
Additionally, you will also possess the following skills:
- Basic Systems and Technology experience i.e., MS Office, online/web-based Payroll & Training requirements
- Ability to work in a Team; be a self-motivator and take instructions
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing work tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace, with excellent customer service skills
- Have a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others
