The Opportunity
As a Cleaning Utility – Minesite Cleaner, you’ll be responsible for maintaining offices, crib rooms, ablutions, and operational facilities across the mine site.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role, working across large areas of site and often in outdoor and variable conditions. You’ll be required to move between facilities, manage your time effectively, and ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard.
Your work plays a key role in ensuring site facilities are clean, safe, and ready for use at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain site offices, crib rooms, ablutions, and operational facilities
- Ensure all areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks within required timeframes
- Respond to ad-hoc cleaning requests across site
- Use and store cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
- Maintain adequate stock levels of cleaning supplies and consumables
- Assist with basic linen and consumables management where required
- Report maintenance issues and support overall site standards
About You
You’re a reliable, self-motivated worker who understands the demands of working in a remote FIFO environment.
You’re comfortable working outdoors, across large sites, and in physically demanding conditions, and take pride in maintaining high standards at all times.
You will have:
- Minimum 1 year experience in cleaning or a similar role
- Previous mine site cleaning experience
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role (walking long distances, manual handling, working in varying weather conditions)
- Strong focus on cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your time effectively
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Requirements
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Current National Police Check (valid within the last 3 months)
Location Requirement:
Candidates must be Perth-based (or able to commute to Perth for FIFO flights) or reside in Kalgoorlie.
