MYER is looking for a Management Accountant – Property & Stores to support the Commercial Finance Manager, Stores, Design & Development to provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis across the Property and Stores portfolio that enables the financial success of the store network.

About the role
- Support in ensuring accurate financial accounting of all lease occupancy expenses, reporting under IFRS16 Lease Accounting and timely and accurate provision of monthly and annual sales certificates to Landlords
- Deliver ongoing support to the Property department and assist in explaining what financial data means to aid with decision making
- Ensure accurate financial accounting of the Property Cost Centres, which encompasses property, facilities management, construction and development through the month-end process
- Completing accruals and balance sheet reconciliations as well as monthly reporting for the Board and Management
- Assist in other ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting for the Myer Store Network portfolio and assist with value add projects on day to day duties and processes
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for Store Occupancy and Support Office Cost Centres
About you
- CA/CPA qualification (or working toward) is preferred
- Experience working within a similar role in retail/property would be beneficial
- Advanced analytical and numerical skills and a strong understanding of financial metrics and their impact on the business
- Advanced skills in excel
- Ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with each key internal and external stakeholder
- Able to manage expectations, communicate clearly and ensure that issues are escalated and managed appropriately
