Myer is looking for a Commercial Finance Manager who will engage in a business partner relationship with the Merchandise group by providing commercial analysis and advice, and driving profit initiatives. You will assist with special projects whilst supporting the Finance department with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
About the role:
- Support client group with preparation of financial evaluations and advice for business cases
- Business partner with Chief Merchandise Officer, Chief Product Officer, GGM, Category Managers, Planning Managers and Operations Managers in the area of responsibility and work on ad hoc requests and special projects, where required
- Develop and produce timely and meaningful commercial analysis for the client group
- Assist in providing financial control to key monthly merchandise processes
- Prepare post-implementation reviews to evaluate success of implemented projects
- Support the Finance teams, where required
About you:
- CA/CPA qualified with active membership
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, within other large, complex organisation/s (e.g. $1 billion revenue, >5000 employees)
- Leadership/people management experience
- Experience and/or solid understanding of the retail industry with a focus on the operation of Online businesses (planning role experience preferred)
- Leverages off an intimate knowledge of reporting systems to extract and report data and identify issues
- Uses highly developed knowledge, understanding and application of financial acumen to deliver on individual, team and organisational objectives
- Specialist/authority level knowledge, understanding and application of financial acumen
- Proven success applying specialist skills across projects, teams, departments and organisational functions
- Advanced negotiation skills to deliver optimum trading terms that deliver commercial targets
