What does the job look like?
Join our Retail team as an AM Transport Allocator in Kemps Creek, NSW, on a 6-month max-term full-time basis. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for allocating, route planning, and dispatching metro deliveries for one of Australia’s largest supermarket chains—playing a key part in keeping daily operations running smoothly.
The role operates on a rotating 3-days on, 2-days off, 2-days on, 3-days off roster, with 12-hour shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This fast-paced position suits someone with strong problem-solving skills and great attention to detail. Key areas:
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, providing clear instructions while fostering positive relationships.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to run sheets, delivery schedules, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure regular communication with customers, keeping them well-informed about their scheduled deliveries or any changes that may impact them.
- Commit to Safety Standards and COR requirements at all times, including daily compliance tasks such as yard inspections, speed and fatigue audits, and load restraint checks.
Are you the one?
We're looking for motivated individuals interested in transport operations, including scheduling and allocation. Full training and support will be provided to the right candidate. You can demonstrate:
- Experience in transport load planning, driver or fleet allocation is highly regarded, but not essential – a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills – experience with TMS is highly regarded
- Strong geographical knowledge of Sydney metro
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, remaining organised and efficient.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
