What does the job look like?
Join a high-performing and close-knit team at the heart of Melbourne’s metropolitan bulk fuel operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily fuel supply and delivery activities across the metro network. You’ll play a hands-on role in planning, coordinating with drivers, and ensuring compliance with safety and customer requirements.
You will work closely with our key customer, Ampol, while leading a small, dedicated team to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their leadership career in logistics and make a real impact in a dynamic and essential industry.
Key areas:
- Plan and schedule fuel deliveries for efficient use of fleet and resources
- Engage closely with drivers to manage day-to-day performance, provide guidance, and resolve issues
- Foster a safety-first culture aligned with COR, fatigue, and compliance requirements
- Maintain strong and responsive relationships with customers, focusing on proactive service and issue resolution
- Drive improvement in KPIs through ongoing analysis and process enhancement
- Ensure all Linfox vehicles, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained to standard
- Support driver onboarding, compliance, and training administration alongside the Driver Trainer
Are you the one?

You’ll bring:
- Operations supervisory or team leader experience in transport or logistics
- Strong working knowledge of COR, heavy vehicle compliance, and safety practices
- Hands-on experience with fleet planning, load management, and route optimisation
- Experience in bulk fuel, dangerous goods, or liquid transport (highly desirable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead a small team and interact with drivers and customers
- Solid computer literacy including MS Office and transport systems
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on team culture and continuous improvement
