What does the job look like?

Join Linfox’s Intermodal team based in Laverton North as the Road Manager VIC and take charge of all aspects of our Intermodal Road Operations in Victoria. In this pivotal role, you'll lead a dedicated team, championing safety, compliance, and operational excellence. With your strategic mindset and leadership skills, you’ll drive efficiency, continuous improvement, and cost effectiveness, while delivering top-tier service to our customers. Key Areas:

  • Ensure profitability and key performance indicators align with customer contractual requirements and KPIs for each VIC contract
  • Foster and expand existing customer relationships to drive increased business opportunities
  • Continuously explore operational synergies nationwide to implement cost-saving improvement initiatives benefiting Linfox and customers
  • Collaborate with Senior Management to establish operating budgets for VIC operations, guiding operational teams to achieve planned outcomes
  • Supervise operational teams to optimize labor and fleet utilization while ensuring compliance with relevant industrial regulations

Are you the one?

  • Five years' hands-on expertise in logistics management, with an emphasis on Road Transport Operations
  • Proficient understanding of industrial instruments, coupled with adeptness in P&L and budgetary procedures
  • Strong communication skills adaptable to various audiences, coupled with influencing skills and a customer-centric approach
  • Sound IT proficiency and financial acumen, complemented by a track record in overseeing multi-site operations and engaging multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (PPT, Word & Excel)
