The team at Healthcare Logistics (HCL) have a NEW opportunity for a highly motivated, results focused Operations Supervisor with initiative and excellent problem-solving capabilities to join the team.

Reporting to the Distribution Centre Site Manager you will supervise a team of over 15 staff taking responsibility for their performance in relation to the warehouse operations as per agreed KPIs while maintaining and helping to lift Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards.

This is a unique opportunity to join a solid, successful team and play a key role in helping them to further increase performance and overall outcomes. As such your proven leadership and supervision skills and experience in all things operational including, receipting, storage, distribution of finished products in a 3PL and 4PL environment, will be critical to your success.

Hours of work will vary from 5am to 6pm and may require opening the site or close the site as per business requirements.

What you will do:

  • Develop and coach the team;
  • Identify and implement CI improvements;
  • Monitor daily productivity, create and present weekly, monthly and quarterly business report reports, managing the team against KPIs;
  • Measure the workload and efficiently manage the labour cost;
  • Ensure SLAs are always met;
  • Maintain and develop processes that are efficient and quality compliant;
  • Develop and review WI’s and SOPs;
  • Follow QMS and WHS guidelines;
  • Actively manage transport queries and provide solutions;
  • Attend weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with customer.

What we are looking for:

  • Prior experience working within a similar role in a warehouse environment;
  • Strong leadership, conflict resolution and negotiation skills;
  • Understanding of Lead times and RDD to meet DIFOT requirements;
  • Understanding of inventory traceability and document control requirements;.
  • Strong analytical, and reporting skills with knowledge and experience using PowerBI;
  • Ability to resolve staff disputes and grievances;
  • Strong relationship building skills to achieve outcomes;
  • Commitment to identify continuous improvement opportunities;
  • Experience in SAP WM and QMS systems will be an advantage.
