The Role:

PBA Services is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their finance team on a part time, contract basis.

Based out of the attractive Portside area of Hamilton in Brisbane’s northern suburbs and working alongside the Payroll Manager, you will process a weekly payroll for over 75 companies with 1200+ employees using automated timesheets as well as resolve payroll related queries and provide assistance to staff, managers and Human Resources as required.

If you have experience coordinating an end-to-end payroll process including reporting, reconciling and quality control; are customer focused, and a strong communicator with meticulous attention to detail, this could be the role for you.

What you will do:

  • Accurate and timely processing of high volume end-to-end weekly payroll;
  • Update employee profiles;
  • Payroll and employee reporting;
  • Termination calculations;
  • Award interpretations;
  • Superannuation processing;
  • Year-end processes;
  • Professional payroll training and development;
  • Contribute to ad hoc tasks, including payroll system maintenance and year end.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience working in similar roles within a high-volume payroll environment;
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating an end-to-end payroll process including reporting, reconciling and quality control;
  • Excellent technical skills with payroll software and time and attendance systems;
  • Advanced computer literacy skills;
  • Exposure to award interpretation;
  • High work ethic and positive attitude;
  • Helpful, friendly attitude with a focus on teamwork;
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
