The opportunity:

EBOS Group have an exciting opportunity for a Work Health and Safety (WHS) Advisor to join the WHS team.

Based out of our Greystanes NSW site, you will support the business to develop a proactive safety culture as well as maintain a safe working environment for all employees and other using our facility.  

This will require you to coordinate and provide advice on key health and safety requirements such as risk assessment, hazard management, legislative compliance, training, audits/inspections, coaching, incident investigations, consultation, strategic objectives and health and wellbeing programs.

To be successful in this role you will need to work closely with relevant stakeholders across the sites (within New South Wales) to achieve best practice. Hence, your ability to build relationships and communicate to a broad range of internal stakeholders at all levels will be critical.

Willingness to travel regularly to various sites and a current driver’s license is essential.

What you will do:

  •  Actively support the business to actively identify, assess and control workplace hazards;
  • Keep stakeholders updated with any changes to WHS policy and procedural requirements;
  • Support business units to develop targeted WHS programs;
  • Maintain and support WHS Management to manage information and documentation;
  • Assist with incident investigations and development of corrective/preventative actions.

What we are looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS as well as experience in a warehouse/distribution environment;
  • Strong working knowledge of current NSW WHS legislation and regulations;
  • Certificate IV workplace training and assessment desirable but not essential;
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills;
  • Strong negotiations skills;
  • Ability to coach and develop employees.
