The opportunity:

The EBOS Group IT Application Delivery team is seeking an Applications Delivery Manager with strong cross functional and development platform experience, and strong people management capabilities.

You will be results driven with a proven ability to manage high performing teams, delivering projects and enhancements whilst ensuring timelines, scope, estimations, and quality standards are met. You will be the central point of contact for all software development and delivery activities for a number of the EBOS Group’s business applications. You will also be responsible for the development and management of a team of inhouse / outsourced functional, development and test resources. You will be responsible for managing development standards, quality assurance and release management for business applications, through the establishment of structured delivery methodologies that meet the needs of EBOS, both now and in the future.

What you will do:

  • Lead and coordinate cross application and cross functional teams to manage a robust and aggressive delivery roadmap to achieve business outcomes.
  • Lead and coordinate cross application and cross functional teams to define and prioritize project work, system modifications and enhancements, development of end user experience, platform maintenance.
  • Support the teams with backlog management and refinement (scope, iterations, priorities), aligning to product roadmap, business objectives and timelines.
  • Work with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Engagement Leads, and other stakeholders to provide technical leadership and guidance on solution design and implementation, and business processes.
  • Stakeholder engagement across the Group understanding priorities and appropriate commercial and technical trade-offs, identifying risks to delivery, mapping out critical pathways and dependencies.
  • End to end product delivery using practical methods (agile / waterfall) and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver business outcomes. This includes governance and oversight of deployments, product releases and critical projects.
  • Foster an environment of high performing dynamic teams, continuous improvement, and agile work styles.
  • Ensure continuity of business through the establishment of appropriate support mechanisms and processes for 24X7 business operations.
  • Implement and enforce IT governance processes, standards, and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and company guidelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and performance tuning, to enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of applications.
  • Work with System Owners to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of technology solutions, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of application delivery initiatives, including milestones achieved, risks identified with mitigation strategies, resource planning needs.
  • Ensure delivery teams responsibly mange quality assurance & testing of all applications.
  • Responsible for employee performance management and engagement with respect to Delivery outcomes.  
  • Responsible for application services budget expenditures (OPEX & CAPEX), adjusting expenditure patterns/trends as needed to meet budget / forecasts.  
  • Work with System owners to maintain strong partnerships with external vendors, service providers, and technology partners to leverage best practices, emerging technologies, and industry trends.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Advanced degree (Preferably Master's) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on application delivery in a supply chain industry.
  • Proven experience managing the delivery of technology solutions in a complex supply chain business environment.
  • Deep understanding of technologies supporting the following business processes: Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Finance, Trade Revenue Management, Inventory management, Warehouse Management, Transport and Freight Management, Demand planning, and Vendor Management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and project management frameworks (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team building, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential areas of risk or improvement.

Preferably experience with some of the following applications: SAP S4 HANA, Optimisely, SalesForce, Manhattan SCALE, SAP Integration Suite, MULEsoft, Axway MFT, SQL SSRS, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP DataSphere, Success Factors.
