The opportunity:

With more than 2,500 employees in 42 locations across Australasia, Ebos Group is a major contributor to the healthcare industry. An exciting new role has been created for a maintenance technician. The maintenance technician will be working at a state of the art automated site in Keysborough, which provides Healthcare and Pharmaceutical products to the Pharmacy and Hospital sectors.

The maintenance technician will be responsible for all maintenance activities throughout the site with a strong focus on the warehouse automation, ensuring that all systems are maintained and to mitigate risks that can lead to system downtime impacting business objectives.

The position is a "hands on" (Operational) role in a time critical environment. The successful applicant will be required to work on the morning shift from Monday-Friday with some weekend work required.

The candidate will also need to demonstrate strong troubling shooting and analytical skills in minimising any downtime associated with automated mechanical environments along with being well organised, highly motivated and creative in thinking to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining maximum uptime of all systems with effective risk mitigation strategies.
  2. Maintaining zero injuries
  3. Liaison with Supervisors and managers in relation to breakdowns and maintenance activities.
  4. Maintaining records of all breakdowns and maintenance activities.
  5. Maintaining a high level of housekeeping Standards at all times.
  6. Maintaining a strong working relationship with suppliers and contractors.
  7. Development & maintenance of rapport with supervisors and operators.

 

Skills and experience:

  1. A Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Automated environment required.
  2. Mechanical fitting
  3. Restricted (connect/disconnect) electrical licence is a must have.
  4. Knowledge and understanding of PLC'S and Automated Machinery.
  5. Ability to recommend and implement process improvement.
  6. Knowledge and understanding of the operation of PLC'S, Automated Machinery
  7. Strong inventory management skills required to maintain an extensive spare parts inventory
  8. Possess a 100% commitment to health and safety in the workplace and adherence to best practices such as LOTO, etc.
  9. Excellent interpersonal skills
  10. Demonstrated continuous improvement approach
  11. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  12. Ability to communicate at all levels
  13. Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical (incl. urine based drug & alcohol screening)
