The opportunity:

ERP & WMS Application Team Lead (Orion) - Linux, Universe, RedHat and Masterpack

The Orion Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of highly skilled software developers and analysts who support the Orion ERP & WMS platform stack (Linux, Universe, RedHat and Masterpack).

The role requires excellent system analysis and a proven ability to manage high performing teams (internal / external) to support critical business applications. The role is required to understand the scope, requirements, goals and vision of the organisation, and ensure strong collaboration with business leaders, IT leaders, external partners and team members to achieve business and customer outcomes.

The Orion Team Lead will manage day to day operations, including work prioritisation in conjunction with the Delivery Manager and will liaise with the Orion Technical Platform Manager, to provide technical leadership to drive quality solutions. The role will be responsible for team performance and development.

What you will do:

  • Provide technical leadership to the development team across the software development lifecycle (requirement analysis, design, build, test and implementation). 
  • Serve as an escalation point for critical (P1) incidents and co-ordinate diagnosis, problem solving, resolution and escalation where required.
  • Support reliability, scalability, performance and security of the Orion Platform and connected systems, and ensure they exceed the company requirements for security and PII compliance.
  • Support the Orion Platform and connected systems to achieve high availability and have disaster recovery in place and tested, to achieve the business RTO / RPO objectives.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design specifications, and technical guidelines.
  • Proactively identify technical risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies to protect the Orion Platform and connected systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies, trends, and best practices, and provide recommendations for process improvements, system improvements and upgrade roadmaps.
  • Support Application Delivery Managers and Project Managers in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation activities.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Software Developer and Team Lead.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in technical roles, with a focus on full stack maintenance of ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Proven experience leading full lifecycle implementations, upgrades, and patching cycles.
  • Deep expertise of the full stack (Linux, Universe, RedHat and Masterpack).
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure, in high availability environment and disaster recovery requirements.
  • General experience of servers, networks and security.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team building, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse complex systems and identify potential areas of risk or improvement.
