The Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the area of theoretical astrophysics. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the group’s research, which covers a variety of areas including:

  • Gravitational-wave astrophysics and the astrophysical interpretation of exciting new data on binary neutron star and black hole mergers
  • Modelling massive stellar and binary evolution
  • The interpretation of high-energy astrophysical transients, including tidal disruption events and gamma-ray bursts
  • Stellar dynamics
  • Astrostatistics

The successful applicant must hold a PhD in astrophysics, or a closely related field.
