Buildings and Properties Division are the stewards of Monash’s beautiful campuses. We contribute to Monash’s global reputation as a leader in research and teaching by providing world class, award-winning buildings, innovative teaching spaces, quality facilities and stunning grounds, whilst also supporting the University’s day to day operations by delivering a wide range of services. The Campus Services team provide the everyday services needed for the smooth running of Monash’s numerous campuses, including security.
An opportunity has become available for a knowledgeable and experienced individual in security systems to join the Campus Services team as a Campus Security Systems Adviser. This is not your average security role – you will be providing expert consultative advice on the security systems that are used across Monash University to ensure that our campuses remain a safe and welcoming environment.
In collaboration with the Security Systems Manager and other security staff, some key duties will include:
- Conducting security audits to identify risks within the University environment
- Creating reports and providing proactive recommendations on security systems that are fit-for-purpose
- Consulting with key stakeholders to identify needs and provide solutions
- Working as the first tier response for any security systems faults
- Project work and upgrades with the broader Campus Services team
This is a dynamic role in which every day is different and new challenges will constantly arise, pushing you to further develop your skills as an expert in security systems. You will be exposed to new and exciting technology and systems with a University that has a reputation for being a leader of the pack.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a technical background in security systems such as an Electronic Security Technician, Security Systems Project Manager, or another similar role, and will possess a relevant tertiary qualification. You will be experienced in providing consultative advice, able to make recommendations on the best solutions for any challenge. You’ll also have experience and exposure working with the latest security products and technologies, as part of a high performing team in the security industry.
