Currently experiencing growth, Monash Nursing and Midwifery is seeking a suitably qualified and motivated nurse academic to join our world-class School to provide strategic direction and lead in the area of clinical placements and work integrated learning. Supported by a strong and experienced administrative team, this is an opportunity to drive strategic management of clinical placements for our students. The successful applicant will also contribute to the teaching activities of the School within their area of expertise and clinical practice.
The School is seeking to appoint at a Level C, dependent on experience, qualifications and track record.
Candidates with expertise in nurse education, work integrated learning and clinical placements, in a healthcare or tertiary setting, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Subject to agreement with your current employer, Monash Nursing and Midwifery will consider offering the role via a secondment arrangement for a minimum 24 month period.
Successful applicants will have:
- A strong understanding of clinical placement policies and operations, and proven experience managing complex clinical placement requirements within a higher education environment
- Be currently registered in Australia for practice as a nurse or midwife
- Recent experience in clinical placement management in a healthcare or tertiary setting
- Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of nursing and/or midwifery units and programs of study in a higher education environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to work independently and as part of a team
Applicants for a Level C position will normally require a doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing.
