The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, is the largest faculty at Monash University and offers the most comprehensive suite of professional health training in Victoria. We consistently rank in the top 40 universities worldwide for clinical, pre-clinical and health sciences.

We are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Proposal Development Manager within our External Relations team which sits in the Faculty. Reporting to the Deputy Dean of External Relations, you will be responsible for developing proposals to support innovation-related strategic initiatives, including multi-million dollar projects. This position plays a key role in bringing together capabilities from across the faculty to achieve research and education objectives in partnership with external stakeholders. 

As the successful candidate your responsibilities will include:

  • Convert new funding opportunities by managing, writing and conceptualising written proposal submissions to the external market
  • Lead the successful implementation of projects and funding opportunities with significant autonomy and manage major multimillion-dollar grant proposals involving submissions with external organisations
  • Develop project budgets and prepare financial projections, including developing financial models for business case and grant proposal developments, which inform faculty and university investment decisions
  • Proactively identify research funding trends in government-related and/or biomedical and medical technologies research and education, and lead the faculty response to thrive from these emerging opportunities

To ensure your success in this role you will have extensive relevant experience, preferably in a biomedical research, government or industry-related environment and hold a post-graduate qualification in a relevant field.
