The Opportunity

Contribute to global health initiatives combating antimicrobial resistance as part of our Infectious Diseases Genomics program. As a Research Fellow, you'll spearhead the curation of a comprehensive K. pneumoniae genome database, pivotal for advancing research and public health efforts.

Your Role:

  • Lead a collaborative effort to gather and organize publicly available K. pneumoniae genome data
  • Develop a pioneering genomic clone risk framework, shaping future surveillance strategies and vaccine development

Key Selection Criteria:

  • PhD in bacterial genetics, genomics, or related fields
  • Proven track record in analytical research and publication
  • A demonstrated capacity to collate, curate and analyse large bacterial genome datasets
  • Proficiency in Python/R for data analysis and visualisation
  • Experience in managing international research partnerships
