Remuneration: $213,740 pa HEW Level 10C (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Chief Financial Officer and Office of the Senior Vice-President Finance is one of the professional services portfolios supporting the University's core businesses of education and research. We provide best-practice financial advice and services to the University. These include financial accounting, taxation, budgeting and reporting, financial planning and analysis, procurement to payments, research and revenue accounting, the University's banking relationships, investment funds and borrowings and the management of major projects with complex financial and legal dimensions. The Opportunity
This pivotal leadership role is dedicated to fostering robust collaborative partnerships across the University while driving the adoption of industry-leading best practices. As a core member of the senior finance team, you will work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to provide strategic insights, expert guidance, and informed recommendations that shape decision-making and advance the University's financial strategy.
Leading a team of skilled finance business partners, you will undertake comprehensive financial planning and deliver incisive analysis that supports well-informed, impactful decisions and maximises value for the University.
About you
With proven success in leading specialist financial functions at a strategic level, the successful applicant will have a significant understanding of finance and finance management principles and systems. You will demonstrate strong business partnering capabilities, working collaboratively with senior stakeholders to drive financial strategy and decision-making in a large, complex organisation.
In addition to exceptional leadership and management experience at the senior level, critical to the success of this position will be the ability to disseminate complex financial information simply and clearly.
A postgraduate qualification with CPA or CA status and/or significant experience in contributing effectively at senior management level in a complex diverse organisation, with strong accounting knowledge, or an equivalent combination of relevant expertise, training, and experience.
