The Opportunity

Monash University’s SensiLab, a world-leading research facility at the intersection of creative practice and advanced technology, is seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join its team. SensiLab is dedicated to exploring the creative possibilities of technology in a trans-disciplinary setting, integrating fields such as creative AI, digital sound and music, computational design, and tangible and physical computing.

This position offers the opportunity to engage in impactful research and contribute to the development of new technologies that shape the future of creativity.

You will contribute to both teaching and research in your area of expertise within the creative technologies field, such as creative AI, digital sound and music, computational design or tangible computing. You will be responsible for delivering engaging courses within the Faculty of Information Technology, developing course materials, and supporting students as they explore these exciting fields. In addition, you will lead and advance research initiatives, shaping the direction of impactful projects, mentoring students and early-career researchers, and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a pioneering research laboratory that is at the cutting edge of integrating creative practice with advanced technologies. If you are passionate about exploring the future of creative technologies and are eager to contribute to teaching and research in a collaborative and innovative environment, we encourage you to apply.
