The Opportunity
The Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking academic to join the Department of Human-Centred Computing (HCC). This Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to Action Lab, a dynamic, multidisciplinary research group that conducts applied, impact-driven research in collaboration with local, national, and international communities, not-for-profit organisations, healthcare entities, and government bodies.
This role offers the chance to drive the development of human-centred, scalable systems through a blend of teaching and research. Embedded within the innovative environment of Action Lab, you will create and implement software solutions that directly tackle real-world challenges, with a focus on meeting the diverse and practical needs of various stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who thrives in interdisciplinary settings and is passionate about conducting research that has a tangible, positive impact. Your ability to build strong partnerships within and beyond the University will be crucial to your success. The ideal candidate will have a future-focused, collaborative mindset and a commitment to advancing both research and education in ways that make a lasting difference.
If you have a strong interest in the design of scalable human-centred systems and services and would like to contribute to teaching across the Faculty’s Information Technology curriculum, we invite you to apply and become part of our Action Lab team.
