Indigenous Academic Opportunities in the School of Social Sciences

The School of Social Sciences is consistently ranked among the best social science schools both nationally and internationally. It is the largest school in the faculty and one of the largest consolidated schools of the social sciences nationally. Interdisciplinary teaching and research collaboration is encouraged. The school offers a wide-ranging undergraduate program and a variety of postgraduate degrees in Anthropology, Behavioural Studies, Criminology, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Human Geography, Politics and International Relations, and Sociology. A major focus of our teaching is to help students become responsible and informed global citizens.

Academic Levels available including Lecturer (Level B), Senior Lecturer (Level C), Associate Professor (Level D) and Professor (Level E). 

Teaching & Research Roles

  • In these positions, you will make contributions to the educational activities of the Faculty and University, as well as maintaining and developing your scholarly, research and discipline-relevant professional and engagement activities.
