The Opportunity

We are seeking two dynamic and dedicated academics to join our School of Biological Sciences as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Ecology. In these roles, you will coordinate and deliver innovative research and teaching programs in the field of ecology, contributing to the advancement of the School’s academic and professional objectives.

As a Lecturer you would develop a leading research program in ecology in any of its forms and contribute to the education program of the School of Biological Sciences in areas broadly related to your expertise.

As a Senior Lecturer you would lead an outstanding research program in ecology and make a significant contribution to the education program of the School of Biological Sciences in areas broadly related to your expertise.

We will consider applications from ecologists who work on any system, but we particularly encourage applications from ecologists who work with plants. We welcome applications from academics who work within any subdiscipline of Ecology, including but not limited to:

  • Climate change biology
  • Conservation ecology
  • Behavioural ecology
  • Community ecology
  • Ecological genomics
  • Ecosystem ecology
  • Eco-physiology
  • Evolutionary ecology
  • Functional ecology
  • Macroecology
  • Microbial ecology
  • Plant-pollinator interactions
  • Population ecology
  • Sensory ecology
