The Opportunity
The Senior Retail Coordinator provides a range of professional and high-quality administrative services to support the effective operation of the Monash retail spaces across multiple campus locations. This role acts as the second-in-command in the absence of Team Leader and oversees daily operations of retail spaces, including some supervision of staff only when directed, and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This includes ensuring smooth and efficient store operations, assisting with merchandise and products management, maintaining excellent customer service standards, supervising and training seasonal and relevant retail staff, as well as assisting in inventory management.
The Senior Retail Coordinator provides administrative support focusing on retail initiatives, projects and programs with a focus on excellence in process and judgment and provision of sound and timely advice and support to students, staff and other stakeholders.
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent administration skills and a demonstrated experience in retail or similar field with some experience in customised branding (private label)
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with ability to learn and recommend solutions
- A strong commitment to excellence in customer service and a hands-on approach to service provision
- Ability to work as an effective member of a team as well as the ability to exercise independence and judgement where required
- Highly developed computer literacy, including experience using business software such as Microsoft Office
- Strong customer service orientation with a passion for merchandise and retail
Please note: The role is primarily based at our Clayton Campus but will require the occasional travel to other locations.
