The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Principal Salesforce Developer to drive the technical delivery of advanced Salesforce solutions across key university functions such as student recruitment, admissions, student services, alumni engagement, and advancement to further the goals of the new Student Management System Transformation (SMST) program.

In this pivotal role, you will provide technical leadership across the full Salesforce development lifecycle — from solution design and implementation to testing and ongoing maintenance. Your work will ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and user-centric applications that meet strategic business needs.

You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders, decision-makers, developers, business analysts, project managers, and testing teams to deliver well-engineered solutions that align with Program goals and stakeholder expectations.

Beyond development, you’ll play a key role in strengthening capability and embedding best-practice software development across the Portfolio — influencing optimal approaches, promoting recognised models, and driving continuous improvement.

About you!

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • Extensive experience delivering high-quality Salesforce development solutions.
  • Advanced expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and SOQL/SOSL.
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies, full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and cloud platforms including Salesforce Platform, Heroku, and AWS.
  • Familiarity with relational database concepts, Salesforce Object Model, External Objects, and integration via middleware such as MuleSoft.
  • Proven leadership and planning skills — able to manage priorities, guide teams through change, and drive process improvements.
  • Exceptional ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with stakeholders to foster effective collaboration.
  • Strong analytical thinking to develop innovative solutions for complex business challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights clearly and provide strategic advice.

This is your opportunity to lead impactful teams in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment. If you're passionate about innovation, collaboration, and making a difference through technology — we’d love to hear from you.
