The Opportunity
Monash University is seeking an Administrative Officer to join the Health Systems, Services and Policy group within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, based at the Alfred Hospital campus.
In this role, you will provide a range of professional, high-quality administrative services to support the Professor and the broader academic group. You will play a key role in enabling the smooth operation of the team by undertaking a variety of general administrative duties, coordinating activities and maintaining strong, effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You will also provide administrative support across projects and programs, applying sound judgement, attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in process. The role involves delivering timely, practical advice and support to researchers, clinicians, students and other stakeholders, contributing directly to the delivery of impactful research and policy work that influences health systems in Australia and internationally.

About the Team
Health Systems, Services and Policy focuses on improving the effective, equitable and ethical delivery of health services. The group works at the intersection of research, policy and implementation science, partnering with government, industry and peak bodies to address complex, real-world challenges in health systems and service delivery.
The School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is one of the largest public health schools in the Asia-Pacific region and is internationally recognised for excellence in research, teaching and policy influence. It is part of Monash University’s Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, consistently ranked among the world’s leading health faculties.
What You Will Do
• Deliver high-quality administrative support across projects, programs and academic activities
• Support the team through effective coordination, communication and workflow management
• Provide professional and responsive customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare documentation, briefings, correspondence and reports to agreed standards and timeframes
• Manage data, records and information in line with privacy, confidentiality and compliance requirements
• Provide sound advice and support in areas of administrative process, policy and service delivery
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency and consistency
