This is a unique opportunity to position one of the world’s leading universities at the forefront of media and public conversation. Working within the University Marketing, Admissions and Communications Division, you will implement corporate communications strategies that bring the University’s story to life, aligned with Focus Monash and its research priorities.

As a trusted advisor, you will provide clear and timely guidance to senior stakeholders in a fast paced environment. You will lead proactive and reactive media engagement, manage enquiries, and strengthen relationships with key media and internal partners to maximise impact.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver integrated media and communications activity across channels

  • Promote the University’s achievements through strategic media engagement and content development

  • Support divisional and University wide communications priorities

  • Use research and sentiment analysis to inform decisions

  • Uphold brand, risk and compliance standards

  • Build strong partnerships with senior leaders and stakeholders

  • Drive continuous improvement across media operations

This position is ideal for a dynamic communications professional with demonstrated expertise in media liaison and public relations management, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide strategic advice at the highest levels. You will thrive in a collaborative environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and delivering results to tight deadlines.

If you are motivated by purpose, driven by impact and ready to contribute to a globally recognised institution’s reputation and influence, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
