The Opportunity
Join the Monash University as a Lecturer (Education-focused) within the Victorian Heart Institute, embedded at the Victorian Heart Hospital—Australia’s first standalone cardiac hospital. Education-focused roles at Monash are central to advancing innovative, evidence-informed teaching and leading the design and delivery of high-quality education. This position contributes significantly to the teaching mission of the Sub-Faculty while supporting the development of future leaders in cardiovascular research and clinical practice.
This position delivers and evaluates high-quality postgraduate education to improve cardiovascular health outcomes. It leads unit and course development, applies inclusive, student-centred teaching approaches, and designs effective, diverse assessments with consistent feedback standards. The role also contributes to scholarship that informs educational practice, undertakes professional and administrative responsibilities within the Sub-Faculty, and acts as Graduate Research Administrator for higher degree by research candidates enrolled through VHI.
We are seeking someone with a doctoral qualification or equivalent research and teaching experience in a relevant discipline, alongside demonstrated expertise in tertiary teaching, curriculum development and assessment design. The position calls for strong capability, a commitment to inclusive learning environments and the ability to align education with industry needs and employability outcomes.
