The Opportunity

As the Senior Communications Adviser for Securing Antarctica’s Environmental Future (SAEF), you’ll lead the development and delivery of strategic, creative and impactful communications that bring SAEF’s research to life.

Working at the intersection of research, strategy and storytelling, you’ll translate complex scientific insights into clear, engaging and targeted narratives that strengthen SAEF’s research and enhance its reputation with stakeholders, policymakers, industry, media and the broader community.

In this key role, you will:

  • Develop and deliver integrated communication strategies aligned to SAEF’s priorities

  • Create compelling digital content, media materials, policy briefs and campaign communications, activities relating to our website, branding and messaging, social media, briefs and policy documents, videos, newsletters, publications and media outreach

  • Identify opportunities to amplify research outcomes nationally and internationally

  • Manage SAEF’s communication channels

  • Work closely with the Partnerships Manager, Director and central team to support collaborations and strategic initiatives
