Employment Type: Part-time, fraction (0.6) - Full-time (0.9) - 0.9 FTE preferred, however fractions as low as 0.6 FTE will be considered based on the candidate’s experience and suitability
Duration: 12-months fixed-term appointment
Remuneration: Pro-rata of $86,195 - $116,981 pa Level A (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Opportunity
The School of Rural Health has an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to contribute to research across key rural health priorities, including workforce and training, service delivery, rural populations and First Nations health. The role will support defined research projects through literature and systems reviews, analysis of findings, and the preparation of reports, research materials and other documentation for the broader research team.
Working within a collaborative research environment, the position will undertake research under limited supervision and contribute to research activities and administration. The role will participate in relevant meetings, provide advice to postgraduate students and support research that informs future approaches to rural health workforce, service delivery and population health.
We are seeking someone with a doctoral qualification, or progress towards a doctorate, in a relevant discipline. Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills will support the preparation of research materials and reports, effective management of priorities and collaborative work. Computer literacy, attention to confidentiality and a willingness to learn new systems are also essential.
