The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a current Monash staff member to step into a senior coordinating role within the School of Translational Medicine Education Office, where you will directly influence how our Undergraduate and Graduate Research Programs are delivered, supported and continuously improved. If you are energised by refining systems, guiding others and lifting the quality of our academic and student services, this role offers an ideal platform to expand your impact.

As the Senior Education Coordinator, you will play a central role in shaping the student and academic experience across STM. You will coordinate key education processes, support teaching activities, lead quality and compliance reviews, and work closely with academics, professional staff and students across multiple campuses. Your contribution will strengthen the consistency, clarity and effectiveness of how STM programs operate, while helping to build a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement.

You will also guide and support up to two staff, contributing to capability building within the team and modelling a calm, organised and solutions-focused approach. Your work will involve everything from enrolments and progression to LMS maintenance, assessment processes, SETU coordination, audit preparation and student case management. This is a role where you can see the direct impact of your decisions and influence real improvements in how education is delivered.

If you are someone who thrives when systems run smoothly, enjoys bringing structure to complexity and values opportunities to collaborate across a broad academic network, this is a rare chance to step forward in your career.

About You

You will bring a combination of experience, initiative and people skills that allow you to manage complexity with confidence. You enjoy building systems that work smoothly, guiding others, solving problems and helping academic programs operate at their best.

To be successful, you will have:

• A relevant degree with extensive experience in education or student administration, or an equivalent mix of training and experience
• Demonstrated success coordinating administrative or student-facing services with a strong customer focus
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with an ability to establish priorities and deliver improvements
• Experience implementing and monitoring quality assurance processes in a university or education setting
• Confidence supervising staff, supporting development and creating a positive team environment
• Analytical and problem-solving capability, including the ability to interpret data, prepare reports and recommend solutions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear advice to a range of stakeholders
• High digital literacy and the ability to learn or apply complex systems (experience with Callista is advantageous)
• A collaborative approach with the ability to work independently, exercise judgement and use initiative

You will thrive in this role if you are motivated by purposeful work, enjoy being part of a high-performing education team, and want to contribute meaningfully to the student experience within a dynamic clinical and research environment.
