The Investor Relations creates significant value to MMG by managing assigned resources and deliverables within the designated portfolio, ensuring the effective execution of investor relations activities.
We are pleased to advise that we seek an Advisor Investor Relations. Based in Beijing head office and reporting to Principal Relations, the purpose of this job is to contribute to the development of investor communication materials and actively participate in the communication of financial results and business strategy to shareholders and the broader investment community. The incumbent must have a good understanding of the investor audience and the information they require to make informed investment decisions and recommendations. The position is responsible for managing assigned resources and deliverables within the designated portfolio, ensuring the effective execution of investor relations activities. The candidate is expected to have strong numerical and financial reporting skills.
To be considered, candidates must have
• Support the Principal Investor Relations in preparing quarterly production reports, annual and interim financial results, and support the development accompanying presentations and briefing materials.
• Contribute to the production of investor communication materials in collaboration with the Group Communications team
• Participate in proactive, timely, and consistent communication with analysts and investors.
• Assist the Principal Investor Relations and General Manager Corporate Affairs and Sustainability in preparing the CEO, CFO, and other senior management for investor meetings, events and conference presentations.
• Collaborate with the financial organization unit and analysis team to develop company analysis materials and recommend forward-looking guidance.
• Support the Principal Investor Relations in the shareholder targeting efforts to expand the Company’s investor base.
• Support the development of various internal reports regarding shareholder and market trends.
• Maintain investor database ownership.
• Review reports prepared by analysts for accuracy and support the Principal Investor Relations in suggesting improvements.
• Participate in investor meetings as required.
• Stay informed regarding external business trends, business performance, and media commentary relevant to MMG Limited.
• Support the Principal Investor Relations, General Manager Corporate Affairs and Sustainability and other internal stakeholder on capital market initiatives as directed.
• Undertake other assigned work as directed by the Principal Investor Relations
• Build and maintain effective internal peer networks to promote the investor relations unit and maintain strong relationships with key internal departments such as Finance, site finance and operational teams, Strategy Development & Projects, Legal and Company, China Relations, etc.
Key to success in this role is the ability to
• A global perspective and a strong understanding of the regions in which MMG operates.
• Excellent English and Mandarin writing and verbal communication skills.
• Prior experience in a investor relations or a role requiring string financial analysis.
• Experience with listed companies, preferably in the mining and/or resources sector.
• Ability to set objectives and adapt or redefine them in response to a changing business landscape.
• Proven ability to act as an influencer and collaborator within the broader MMG investor/shareholder community.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Strong command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
