Join the team at our Papakura site as a Maintenance Fitter, where you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping our production lines running safely and efficiently. You’ll maintain, repair, and optimise machinery that helps craft some of New Zealand’s most loved beverages while ensuring our equipment performs at its best while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who’s keen to learn, proactive, and enjoys getting stuck in. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, safety, and reliability come first.

Please note: This position works on a rotating 12-hour shift roster with 24/5 coverage (approx. 45 - 60 hours per week).

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, reactive, and condition-based maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
  • Support changeovers and ensure equipment is set up correctly for safe and effective operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve recurring mechanical issues, identifying root causes to prevent future faults.
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure data integrity in our CMMS system (MEX).
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and operators to execute maintenance days and improvement projects.
  • Coach and support operators in autonomous maintenance activities.
  • Champion safety, quality, and environmental standards in every task performed.

 

About You

We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, curiosity, and drive to make a real impact. You’ll bring a mix of technical ability and a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter & Turner (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a maintenance position, ideally within an FMCG, food, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail under pressure.
  • Confident communicator who works well with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to working safely and efficiently in a fast-moving production setting.
