The Position

Primary link between World Vision Australia’s Acquisition, Program and Contract teams, as well as World Vision field offices, Corporate Affairs, Private Funding and Child Sponsorship teams. This role coordinates and streamlines operations for the Acquisition Management Team by improving systems and efficiencies.

It also contributes to the annual review of the Institutional Market Growth Strategy, Field Footprint Framework, and other key strategic initiatives, and coordinates specific organisational wide acquisition activities and performance reporting for specific shared goals for the Corporate Strategy.

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Lead a high-performing team specialising in acquisition coordination, operations and engagement for World Vision Australia’s Institutional Market donors
  • Partner with the Acquisitions Management Leadership Team to streamline systems, documentation and tools that enhance team effectiveness, including through processes, templates, policies, guidelines and a centralised resource repository
  • Support the development of WVA’s Institutional Market brand, donor engagement strategies, and donor collateral such as impact snapshots, capacity statements and web pages which are tailored to this market
  • Working directly with the broader Impact & Insights team, coordinate performance reporting to support WVA’s Corporate Strategy shared goal of 5 million children reached and supporting 10 million hectares restored
  • Act as the central liaison point across Programs & Contracts, Private Funding and Retail to coordinate and triage strategic funding opportunities
  • Provide project management and coordination for strategic bids, including developing and maintaining detailed project plans and schedules; facilitating regular communication with stakeholders; and identifying risks to project timelines and outcomes

Who we are looking for…

You will have strong relationship management skills, ability to work cross functionally and communicate effectively to a range of different stakeholders.

You will have:

  • 3+ years’ experience in project management and/or coordination, business operations or consultancy roles, not necessarily specific to international development
  • Experience in impact and/or business reporting and understanding of current and future trends in this space
  • Ability to analyse and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data and draw appropriate conclusions
  • Strong understanding of and experience with donor segments across institutional, private funding and mass market streams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team with ability to maintain focus and achieve outcomes under pressure, and meet tight timelines while working in an agile working environment
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline e.g. international development, international relations, strategy, business management, marketing, research, or similar.
