  • Term appointment for 18 months - Managerial Allowance (Large Unit)

An exciting opportunity has become available for you to demonstrate leadership and efficient management capabilities as the Head of Unit (HoU) in the Emergency Department – Flinders Medical Centre (FMC).

The Head of Unit will report to Network Clinical Director, Division of Medicine, Cardiac & Critical Care.

As an experienced senior clinician, you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership and governance of team functions and services
  • Operationally contribute to leading the team and be responsible for the management of operational requirements of the Emergency Department, FMC
  • Contribute to the management of change and development of the program/service
  • Clinically supervise the clinical team members
  • Clinical supervision and line management of medical staff allocated to the team
  • Be responsible for developing and implementing medical staff planning, including strategic planning, succession planning and rostering
