At La Trobe University, we’re seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our Clinical School of Dentistry and Oral Health within the renowned La Trobe Rural Health School, the largest rural health school in Australia. This position will contribute to establishing our school as the preeminent clinical school of practice ready dental practitioners.

About the Role:
As an Associate Professor of Dentistry, you will play a pivotal role in providing academic and clinical leadership to the Dentistry and Oral Health disciplines, enhancing their reputation for producing high-quality graduates, and enhancing the oral health of individuals who reside in regional and rural locations.

Within our new purpose-built facility on the Bendigo Health campus, you will:

  • Lead and innovate in teaching and curriculum development, collaborating with our specialist leads and utilise our clinical simulation facilities.
  • Mentor and coach colleagues while supervising advanced research.
  • Contribute to internationally recognised research with real-world impact.
  • Foster strong partnerships with industry and promote excellence in dental education.

Essential Requirements:

  • A PhD or equivalent accreditation.
  • Full registration as a general dentist or specialist with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated leadership in education, research, and team management.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
