About the position
The role implements the University’s research reporting, benchmarking, performance frameworks, including essential compliance and reputation enhancing submissions. You will work within a cross functional team of analysts to gather a diverse range of information across the university, through contact with researchers and academic leadership to provide analysis and insight.
 
The Research Performance Analyst will understand the research environment and use their skills to engage with the developments globally in research performance measurement and evaluation and will support the Research Office on projects and other activities from time to time.
 
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will
 
• Have an undergraduate degree in any area relevant to the position with at least 4 years subsequent experience; or extensive experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
• Be able to leverage excellent interpersonal skills to engage with and manage multiple stakeholders across all levels, ensuring successful outcomes. 
• Be proficient in Power BI and SQL coding
• Relish working in a small high functioning team, especially being able to demonstrate the capacity to work collaboratively and cooperatively.
• Demonstrate strong organisation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage several different projects concurrently.
• Demonstrate high-level quantitative and qualitative analytic skills, including data acquisition, manipulation, and analysis.
• Have an ability to apply extensive knowledge of data and reporting to bring together diverse and sometimes conflicting information to identify and solve problems.
 
Desirable
• Knowledge and experience in the university sector, including data requirements, modelling and analysis.
• Knowledge of current trends and developments in higher education policies nationally and internationally.
