La Trobe Business School is seeking two outstanding individuals to join our Sport Management discipline at either Level B (Lecturer) or Level C (Senior Lecturer), with the flexibility to be teaching-focused or teaching and research. About the Roles
We have exciting opportunities available at both Lecturer (Level B) and Senior Lecturer (Level C) levels in Sport Management. The positions can be Teaching-Focused or Teaching & Research, offering candidates the chance to tailor their careers according to their expertise and interests.
Successful candidates will contribute to high-quality teaching, curriculum development, and student engagement across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Those applying for Teaching & Research roles will also be expected to conduct high-impact research published in ABDC A* and A-ranked journals, supervise research students, and build strong industry connections.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on the selected level and focus, responsibilities include:
Teaching & Learning: Design, develop, and deliver engaging courses, ensuring excellence in student learning and curriculum innovation.
Research (T&R roles only): Conduct and publish impactful research, secure external research funding, and supervise HDR students
Leadership & Industry Engagement: Build and strengthen relationships with industry partners, represent the school at external events, and contribute to academic leadership.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates with:
- A PhD in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- A track record of research publications in top-tier journals (for T&R roles).
- Strong industry engagement and collaboration experience.
- Ability to mentor and supervise students (HDR supervision for Level C).
