About the Role
La Trobe University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IS Configuration & Asset Lead to manage and optimize our End-User Computing (EUC) hardware and software assets within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This full-time, ongoing role is based at our vibrant Bundoora campus.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of configuration data, supporting IT service delivery, and overseeing the mapping of asset configurations. You will also generate insightful reports to aid decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage EUC hardware and software assets within the CMDB, ensuring data accuracy.
- Resolve configuration and tracking issues, collaborating with IT support teams.
- Perform data audits, cleansing, and maintenance to ensure CMDB accuracy.
- Develop detailed reports and dashboards based on CMDB metrics.
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain up-to-date data.
- Support lifecycle management of EUC assets, from acquisition to decommissioning.
- Provide training and guidance to IT staff on best practices for asset configuration.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of asset configurations and processes.
Essential Criteria
- Relevant degree in IT, computer science, or a related field,
- Experience managing EUC assets within asset management tools and a CMDB.
- Strong attention to detail, data management, and reporting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and ongoing process improvement.
- Strong communication skills and experience in stakeholder engagement.
