About the Role

We are seeking a highly capable and strategic Executive Manager to support the mission of the Global Health and Equity Development Hub, led by Distinguished Professor Richard Osborne. This role sits within the Violet Vines Marshman Centre for Rural Health Research (VVMCRHR) and supports projects of global significance, including projects with the United Nations, European Commission, governments, NGOs and academic institutions.

As the Executive Manager, you will play a key leadership role in enabling large-scale research translation and capacity-building programs aimed at improving health and reducing health inequities—locally and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational delivery of the Hub’s ambitious research and development agenda.
  • Build collaboration across local and international agencies, including universities, NGOs, governments and UN agencies and represent the Hub on key committees.
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership and support for grant submissions, contracts, and stakeholder negotiations.
  • Manage knowledge products, intellectual property, and communication strategies that enhance the Hub’s visibility and impact.
  • Lead planning of retreats, events, reporting, and engagement with national and international partners.

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant degree and substantial experience in program or research management, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success supporting high-impact research teams or international development initiatives.
  • Strong track record in stakeholder management, budget oversight, and strategic communications.
  • Deep understanding of cultural inclusivity and ability to navigate complex policy environments.
  • Proven ability to develop systems, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
