About the position
In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional advice and support in the implementation and effective archival management practices across the University; including the transfer of historical archival records into the University Archives system, and providing support for disposal of archival records, planning and implementing day-to-day work flows related to accurately recording and processing archival records related to the management, access, storage and preservation of historical archival materials including documents, photographs, books, newspapers, ephemera and artworks.

Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have
- Qualifications in archives and records management/ information management or a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows aligned with relevant policies systems and procedures within own area of responsibility
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in using information technology applications and system relevant to this role (including archival and preservation systems, archival storage solutions, email, web browsers, word processing and spreadsheets)
- Demonstrated understanding of regulatory framework and industry best practices in relation to archives management
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Australian Copyright Legislation.
- Experience in working with resources such as Libraries Australia and Australian Library catalogues
- Proven capacity to effectively liaise and negotiate with a range of people in a discreet and tactful manner
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and critical thinking skills, including effective verbal, written, listening, interpreting and non-verbal skills
